Senjokai Karate is proud to work alongside our registered charity, Karate for Life (SCO 053567), to deliver an inclusive and empowering martial arts programme tailored to meet the needs of individuals with Additional Support Needs (ASN). Together, we aim to build confidence, promote physical and mental well-being, and create an environment where everyone can thrive, regardless of their abilities.
Our Mission
We believe that karate is for everyone. Through our ASN Karate programme, we strive to:
- Provide an inclusive space where individuals with ASN can learn and develop.
- Promote physical fitness, coordination, and mental focus.
- Build self-esteem and confidence in participants.
- Foster a sense of community and achievement through structured karate training.
What We Do
Working with schools and community organisations, our trained and registered coaches deliver ASN-specific karate sessions tailored to the unique needs of each group. These sessions focus on:
- Adaptability: Lessons are customised to match the abilities and requirements of participants, ensuring accessibility and engagement.
- Fun and Learning: We combine structured martial arts training with activities that encourage enjoyment and participation.
- Life Skills: Our programme emphasises discipline, respect, and perseverance—core values of karate that extend beyond the dojo.
Experienced and Qualified Coaches
Our coaches are not only registered and trained in karate instruction but are also experienced in working with individuals with Additional Support Needs. They bring a compassionate and patient approach to every session, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.

As a registered charity, Karate for Life (SCO 053567) plays a pivotal role in supporting and expanding the reach of our ASN programme. With the charity's support, we can:
- Provide subsidised or free sessions to schools and individuals.
- Train more coaches in ASN-specific instruction.
- Purchase adaptive equipment and resources to enhance our sessions.
