Liam's karate path includes extensive training under legendary masters such as Masao Kagawa Shihan and Mikio Yahara. His regular visits to Japan, including training at the iconic Teikyo University dojo, have significantly influenced his approach, blending traditional Shotokan principles with dynamic, modern coaching techniques. In 2024, he earned his 6th Dan after a rigorous examination in Japan.
Competitive Achievements
As a decorated competitor, Liam has amassed numerous titles, including medals from the JKS World Championships and European events.
His victories include multiple British and Scottish national championships, as well as international podium finishes.
Leadership & Teaching
Liam is the National Kata Coach for Karate Scotland and has played an essential role in developing future karate stars.
His passion for teaching drives every class, where students of all ages and skill levels benefit from his energetic and precise instruction.
A Community Leader
Since founding Senjokai Karate Academy in 2011, Liam has built a welcoming dojo where students are encouraged to grow both as martial artists and individuals.
His emphasis on respect, discipline, and personal achievement has created a supportive environment where athletes thrive on and off the mats.
